Doctor Who US Season 7 Blu-ray Just Arrived! (See What’s Inside!)

Doctor Who US Season 7 Blu-ray Just Arrived! (See What’s Inside!)

What does the US/CA version of the Collection Season 7 look like? Today I'm unboxing Doctor Who Jon Pertwee Complete Season One (aka The Collection Season 7). You can order your own copy from Amazon here: https://amzn.to/4dPiyxo (affiliate link). Jon Pertwee Complete Season One came out on June 3, 2025, 92 days after the UK Season 7 Limited Edition set came out on March 3, 2025. My copy arrived safely and has stunning artwork designed colorfully by Lee Binding. Unfortunately, these US/CA Blu-ray sets do lend themselves to some wrinkling of the plastic, which is a little unfortunate. It's a seven disc set. This is actually slightly under one inch, so it'll match up with the majority of the other US/CA sets. I like the disc holders. But, unfortunately, the discs themselves continue the trend of not using the individual disc art that comes with the UK limited edition box sets. It's frustrating because the disc art is so beautiful and really helps differentiate the discs. On the back, we have a list of all four stories from season seven. All 25 episodes are newly restored for Blu-ray and packed with new bonus features: new documentaries (four of them), In Conversation with John Levene (I love Sergeant Benton!) This season has a great lineup for behind the sofa with Katy Manning (Jo Grant), Matthew Waterhouse (Adric), Janet Fielding (Tegan), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), Sophie Aldred (Ace), presenter Toby Hadoke, and the late Caroline John’s family: husband Geoffrey Beevers (who also played the Master) and daughter Daisy Ashford. The set also comes with the doctor who escape room with team third doctor. Movie editions of the episodes and archive treats, blu-ray trailer, PDF written archive scripts, and more. Plus, each disc also includes a range of extensive special features previously released on DVD. This set does not come with a booklet. Only Tom Baker Complete Season One and Seven came with a single page slip that gave us a breakdown of the disc contents, but that has not happened since. I'm so excited that fans in the US can, after three months of waiting (92 days), which wasn't too bad considering the historical record of how long we've had to wait (113-120 days). One more Pertwee season left to go now. Jon Pertwee Complete Season Five AKA Season 11. Comment down below if you'd like to see a comparison video of Jon Pertwee Complete Season One and The Collection Season 7. 👉 We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Flying from Paris to Boston! What Could Go Wrong?

Flying from Paris to Boston! What Could Go Wrong?

Join me as I travel from Paris, France to Logan International Airport in Boston, MA and lose something incredibly important along the way! I'll be taking a seven hour flight out of Charles De Gaulle Airport to Logan Airport in Boston. I get on to my flight which would take 7 hours and cover 3,216 miles. We did get food on this flight, and there was even some ice cream for dessert which was lovely. The flight would leave Paris at 11:45AM and arrive in Boston, Massachusetts, Logan at 02:05PM. It is funny how a seven hour flight can happen in the space of basically two hours but that's time zones for you! It's all very timey-wimey wibbly-wobbly. So at last I arrive at Logan International Airport and go through security again. I go to the luggage claim area, and I see all of the luggage going around on the carousel. And I'm waiting to see my lovely green suitcase packed to the brim with so much Doctor Who merchandise that we practically had to (metaphorically) stomp on it to get it shut. And so I'm watching the luggage go around and around and around. And I don't see my suitcase. Try not to panic. I don't see my suitcase though! And right now, I'm really wishing I bought an AirTag, but I didn't. So I didn't have any way to track it myself. I was so confused. I asked so many people if I was in the right area, and I absolutely was. I was just in shock. What if my luggage had been lost? I was absolutely panicking. I could not believe it. Everything that I packed in there and all of the merchandise I collected on the trip! My US SIM card from my phone was in that suitcase. I don't know why I packed that there, but I had been using my UK SIM, so it wasn't necessarily something I thought about. But now that I was out of The UK, I was not receiving texts and I was not receiving calls and my US SIM card was in my suitcase! I remember I went to the Logan Airport Dunkin' Donuts absolutely depressed at the thought that my luggage was lost and that I would not get it again. And so I sat and stress ate some emotional support donuts and just sat there in kind of a daze, in a fog, in a bit of a fugue state probably. And then I went and found a desk that's the right place to ask about this sort of thing, and I'm told that my luggage has been delayed. I am given a site to look at, a tracking number, and told that it will arrive in a couple of days and be shipped directly to my home address. I asked them to change the settings so that if I wasn't there to sign, that my suitcase would still be left on the porch. And then I just had to hope that my luggage would arrive safely in the couple of days that they said it would take for it to arrive. I then got on my plane at 5:50PM, and I could tell it was the plane going back to Vermont because it was the small six-seater plane again! Oh my gosh. You could see out everywhere on this plane, and you felt all the turbulence! There's one pilot. There's no co-pilot. But it was so cool. It was so much fun. Our arrival time was around 7PM. So it is dark out now, and we are flying and being in a plane where you can see so much outside and it is dark out, you realize how much the pilot is not flying the plane just by sight alone. It doesn't help your nerves when, at one point, the pilot, she pulls out a flashlight and shines a light out, looking at the left wing of the plane. That's not concerning at all. This happens intermittently about five or six more times during the course of our flight. When we landed, she explained that she was checking for any ice buildup on the wing of the plane. And, thankfully, everything was fine. But I wish I'd known that before we left, not after! So I’m now in an airport in Vermont, and I'm picked up by my family. It was just so good to see them again. I was so excited to see them again! But I couldn’t stop thinking about my luggage. Would it arrive on my porch in the next couple of days? Or had it been lost forever? The next day on Nov. 20th, 2023 was the day when my luggage was supposed to arrive, according to what the person at the airport told me, but it didn't. The tracking said it had gone from Charles de Gaulle in Paris to Boston that day. After a very stressful two further days, on November 22, the tracking updates said my luggage would be delivered! And it came! It ended up being 32 kilograms and 70 pounds! And the first thing I took out of it was my electronics bag, which had my US SIM card so that my phone could start working again! I then filmed an unboxing/unpacking video of everything I bought when I was in the UK! Credits: Dedicated to my family for always believing in me! Exploring Bristol! (Flashback to Nov. 8, 2023)

Exploring Bristol! (Flashback to Nov. 8, 2023)

This is a bonus flashback episode of the UK Vlog from back on Nov. 8, 2023 when I was exploring Bristol. It's coming out now out of chronological order because I wanted to make sure that I gave it the proper time it needed for editing. This happened in between when I saw the Chez Marcel Doctor Who filming location and when I went to The Last Bookshop. I had just finished visiting Chez Marcel, a Doctor Who filming location, and right down the road from it, I happened to walk by something that caught my eye. It was the Bristol Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre. The reason I suppose that stood out to me is because I myself am half Palestinian. My mom and her side of the family are Palestinian and have been for generations (originally from Syria) and have lived in Palestine for the past five generations, at least! I was not expecting to see anything on my trip like a museum about Palestine. This just meant so much to me! Inside the Bristol Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre, as they say on their website, it includes: “An historical account of Palestine, A display of artefacts, photographs, and paintings, Reference Library (books, journals and DVDs) and information leaflets, Palestinian fair-trade products for sale" Their website has a lot of great resources as well where you can learn more about Palestine and the whole history of Palestine. As they say on their website, they are against racism and bigotry of any kind, which includes antisemitism, Islamophobia, and they advocate for equal human rights for all, especially those who have fewer of them and are oppressed. End quote. They have a bunch of awesome resources, links, and information: Check out the Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre’s website: https://www.palmuseumbristol.org/ Resources and links from the Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre’s website: https://www.palmuseumbristol.org/index.php/resources-and-links-information Check out the Palestine Museum & Cultural Centre Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/PalMuseumBristol I also have some others as well that I would recommend checking out if you are interested. Learn More: (Palestine 101): https://decolonizepalestine.com/introduction-to-palestine/ Consider Donating Here: https://www.pcrf.net/ Take Action: https://www.humantiproject.org/ And I was just really moved being able to read about all of this history and the different articles and information they had that lined the walls. It means a lot to me obviously. I got to meet the husband of the owner. He was lovely to talk to and I absolutely loved my visit and their displays with Palestinian fashion. It was just amazing. And by this point I was almost up to the Main Floor where you can see the walls are lined with even more and more information. This is where you can find a lot of information and pamphlets resources but also their fair trade products which include a lot of amazing things like artwork and hand painted ceramics and embroidery. It was really amazing to see all the items that they had there. There was jewelry from the Hebron Women's Cooperative and hand painted ceramic dishes and coasters and bookmarks. I got one of the hand painted ceramic dishes! I'd never thought I’d see something like that! I then ended up walking up the Bristol Christmas steps, and boy did I get my steps in that day! That was the most walking I'd done on the trip. But I still had a lot on my mind after my visit to the museum. I don't often talk about being half Palestinian in my videos because I have a Doctor Who channel, and I've always felt like those were separate things, but it was the Doctor Who filming locations that brought me to a street where I would see that museum! It just feels like that was a sign that these two things don't need to be as separate as I think they did. What I'm asking for is for us all to not ignore what's going on and what's happening to the Palestinian people. The loss of civilian life anywhere, anywhen is unconscionable, and we need to stop it. I just want you to know that this is the face of someone who is half American, half Palestinian. I thank you so much for watching and allowing me to share that with you. It was a very special moment to me personally from my trip to the UK, and I'm so glad that I'm able to share that with you. Stay safe. Keep growing your knowledge, collection and connection with other Doctor Who fans! Albert the Adipose says hello, and we both hope to see you in the next video! Visiting Buckingham Palace! (Doctor Who Filming Location)

Visiting Buckingham Palace! (Doctor Who Filming Location)

Join me as I visit Buckingham Palace, known to Doctor Who fans from the climactic scene of the episode Voyage of the Damned, but probably better known to the rest of the world as Buckingham Palace. Upon arrival I had such deep observations to make such as: “That looks important. Big building. Check. Gilded Gates. Check. Woah. Giant gold statue. Check.” That gold statue is the Victoria Memorial (we'll get to that more later). For now, I was enthralled with looking at the beautiful exterior of Buckingham Palace and those incredible gates with the gold and intricate designs. There was also a unicorn statue which I was not expecting. I got my own obligatory selfie in front of Buckingham Palace. As you got closer to the center and front of Buckingham Palace, there were more and more tourists there taking photos. I kept moving along and taking in Buckingham Palace and eventually found a gap in a line of tourists and saw one of the guards on duty. He even shifted position whilst I was filming, so that was fun to catch a scene of that! The guard then resumed doing an impression of a Weeping Angel who knows that someone's looking at it (for non Doctor Who fans, that just means being very still). I then tried to get a shot of Buckingham Palace from a similar angle to how we see it appear in Doctor Who. Buckingham Palace most famously appeared in Doctor Who Voyage of the Damned, the 2007 Christmas special, and the scenes we're about to talk about do contain spoilers for that episode, so just a heads up there. We see the Queen and the Corgis evacuating Buckingham Palace as it is in danger of being hit by the Titanic that’s falling towards Earth from space. The Doctor is desperately trying to change its flight path, (which looks like it's going to directly hit Buckingham Palace) and thankfully, just in the nick of time, that happens! The Doctor is able to change the path of the Titanic to end up flying just by Buckingham Palace and we see the Queen waving her thanks standing just outside of Buckingham Palace. I thought it was kind of funny that while most people were here to visit Buckingham Palace, I was there to visit a Doctor Who filming location! You can even see me point at where the Titanic would have been falling out of the sky from. I had to throw in some jokes about Buckingham Palace being a TV set! I said, “I'm not sure if they set it up just for the Doctor Who episode Voyage of the Damned, or if they filmed any other TV shows here. Maybe The Crown? You can tell it's a set because they're not letting anybody in!” I certainly thought I was hilarious! I then wanted to explore what I now know is the Victoria Memorial, which I thought looked like a bunch of cool statues, which it is! The most eye-catching one is the gilded bronze statue at the top, which was glinting gold in the sunlight. Its base is made of marble with a bunch more statues, and there are some bronze statues further out. There is a statue of Queen Victoria on her throne facing intentionally towards the city. There's meaning behind each of the statues and the ways in which they're facing. I got some pictures in front of the Victoria Memorial. The gilded bronze looks so cool in the sunlight and there were even some birds flying around as well over the fountain around the Victoria Memorial base. All of which are right in front of Buckingham Palace! It was time for me to go, so I got some final shots of Buckingham Palace and headed out to get something to eat! So tune in next time as I try some tea and fish and chips, as well as a strawberry milkshake in London! Credits: Dedicated to my family for always believing in me! Explore London with me! (American in London)

Explore London with me! (American in London)

Join me as I explore central London as my journey takes me to a famous Doctor Who Filming Location in the heart of Central London (Spoilers! It’s a surprise!)! My journey will take me from the Sapphire Hotel to Hammersmith Station on foot, then to St. James’s Park via Tube, past Westminster Chapel to this surprise location! But first, I'm implementing another stage of my plan to bring back as much Doctor Who merchandise with me as possible! It's gonna require me unpacking my suitcase, getting rid of the clothes I brought with me so that I can make room for more Doctor Who merchandise in my suitcase and then repacking it again. But I've only got 55 minutes to do that before checkout, so let's see if I can do it! With half an hour to go I had all my stuff laid out. My checkout time, I’d packed up again having ditched a lot of weight by getting rid of clothes that I had brought with me that had been worn out and were at the end of their lifespan. I intentionally brought them with me so I could get rid of them to make room for Doctor Who merchandise! My suitcase still feels the same weight, but that’s because I replaced the weight of the clothes with Doctor Who merchandise, however, my backpack is definitely feeling lighter. And I know that my suitcase is a lot lighter than if I tried to fit everything in, which I definitely could not have done as my suitcase is sadly not bigger on the inside! I'm off to London to see [redacted for spoilers] now and then I plan to do some shopping for some gifts for back home, and then I'm gonna make my way to Tutbury and Hatton. I set out walking and it is another beautiful day in the UK as I head to Hammersmith Station. My walk would take me about 0.8 miles from the Sapphire Hotel to Hammersmith Station, where I would be able to hop onto a train and start my journey to Central London. There was a beautiful lit up train at the entrance to Hammersmith Station that was so much fun to go through. And once inside, I got myself a steak bake sausage roll and a cheese and onion pasty from Greggs. I also got yogurt from Pret A Manger with granola and chocolate on top. Then I hopped on to the tube. My journey would take me from the Hammersmith tube station to St. James's Park Tube Station, and I found myself almost mesmerized by the way that the different sections would twist ahead of you and almost seem to warp reality. I just got out at St. James's Park, and now I'm on my way walking towards [redacted for spoilers]. Can you believe it? And look at this weather. It's windy, but it was sunny with blue skies! Weather aside, this mystery location that I'm walking to is a Doctor Who filming location. It's also very famous and it's in Central London. Along the way, I also spotted the Westminster Chapel which I thought looked beautiful and I found a red telephone box! So, of course, I had to get a shot in front of that! Very exciting! I continued walking and taking my suitcase with me closer and closer to this mystery location on this beautiful sunny day with blue skies in London. To Doctor Who fans, this is a prominent location featured in the climax of the Doctor Who episode Voyage of the Damned. To the rest of the world, it's known by a different name. I think you call it: Buckingham Palace! Tune in next time to see my visit to the outside of Buckingham Palace! Credits: Dedicated to my family for always believing in me! Getting Caught in the Rain in London!

Getting Caught in the Rain in London!

Join me as I get a taste of British weather and get caught in the rain on my way back from Day 2 of London Comic Con! I planned to stop by a pizza restaurant on the way called Zia Lucia, and by the time I reached them it was only beginning to rain but the walk back to my hotel was still ahead of me. I got two pizzas from Zia Lucia and brought them back with me. That was when I would get my first taste of real proper UK weather. It was indeed raining as I walked back, and this was the first time it had ever rained for me on this trip while I was outdoors. I had great weather up until this point otherwise but I got caught in the rain on the way back to my hotel. And instead of immediately getting dry, I think, gee, I should be vlogging this! So I did. Then I dried off and ate my Pizza from Zia Lucia: their buffalo mozzarella margherita pizza and I got another pizza from them to try that looks lovely. I saw that it had olives on it, so I had to go for it! For dessert, I had a Cadbury Chocolate Fruit and Nut bar that Jason Goswell had so kindly bought for me a couple days back. Fueled by that, I then set up my camera and got to recording my recap of Day 2 of London Film and Comic Con and also to show everything that I got that day. I could not resist getting some Doctor Who pins because they were small and lightweight, so I can take them home with me. I got five pins with comic illustrations of the faces of the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th Doctors! I would have gotten other Doctors except those were the only five Doctors they had there. I also got a comic from a vendor that is a Ninth Doctor variant cover. I got it for £10, but the thing about this is it very well may be a US variant cover. So it's very ironic that I traveled all the way to the UK to buy a US variant cover! I finally had to tear off my Comic Con weekend wristband. I don't know how you are supposed to get it off. I really had to yank mine off and tore it. For the first night, I just wore it all night because I couldn't figure out how to get it off. Thank you to Ian Smith who came up to me and said hello, and we got to talk for a little bit. It was so lovely to meet you. Thank you to Whovian Espresso (Aidan) for coming up and saying hello and introducing yourself. I was so glad that we could hang out for the rest of the convention! That was really cool! Thank you to Elijah Kraling who spotted me and came up and got a quick selfie! It was so much fun to meet you briefly. And to the Missy cosplayer, it was lovely to meet you and talk with you as well. It was all just so incredible. So many lovely people! So that's it. That's the end of another long but amazing day at London Film and Comic Con! Oh my gosh. I'm so tired, but so happy, so excited, so thrilled, and so in disbelief! I got asked in the comments how much I had walked on this trip, and I recently found a screenshot from November 12th that answers that question! November 06 2023: 02.7 Miles / 04.34 Kilometers / 06,068 Steps November 07 2023: 12.1 Miles / 19.47 Kilometers / 26,746 Steps November 08 2023: 09.6 Miles / 15.44 Kilometers / 21,236 Steps November 09 2023: 07.0 Miles / 11.26 Kilometers / 15,465 Steps November 10 2023: 09.8 Miles / 15.77 Kilometers / 21,820 Steps November 11 2023: 05.9 Miles / 09.49 Kilometers / 13,095 Steps November 12 2023: 06.1 Miles / 09.81 Kilometers / 13,561 Steps Tune in next time as I vlog my journey from London to Tutbury and Hatton. Trying Celebrity Doughnuts from Doughnut Time at London Film and Comic Con!

Trying Celebrity Doughnuts from Doughnut Time at London Film and Comic Con!

Let’s try some donuts from Doughnut Time’s stand at London Film and Comic Con Day 2! I’m trying these doughnuts with Aidan aka Whovian Espresso on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@whovianespresso257 Donut Time’s celebrity donuts all have pun based names, so I got us the Kit Kat Harrington Doughnut and the Rob-Bat Pattinson Doughnut, which I think they missed an opportunity by not calling it the Robert Bat-tinson Doughnut! We split the doughnuts and got to try both kinds, and they were both very, very good! Sweet frosting with candy or Chocolate on top! What’s not to like? I got a soda to wash it down, and true to form, Whovian Espresso got coffee! You can check out Doughnut Time online here: https://doughnuttime.co.uk/ (Not a sponsor) We both then went to Camille Coduri’s talk. It was great. We really enjoyed hearing her talk about her career and especially about Doctor Who. It was there that another member of the Who crew recognized me and said hello! So, to Ian Smith who just came up and introduced himself, thank you so much for coming and saying hi and for recognizing me! It was amazing to meet you in person! Thank you so much for saying hi! It was lovely to talk with you and chat! At this point the convention was winding down, but we were determined to see it through to the end, so we kept exploring and spotted some cool LEGO Sonic screwdrivers, which I'd never seen made before! They were custom builds, so it was really cool to see the creativity that they were put together with. I also had to take a photo with this incredible super tall Chewbacca cosplayer! I said goodbye to Colin Baker for the last time on this trip. It's quite sad that it'll be the last time I see him on this trip but I've been quite lucky to see him several times on this trip! And I spotted Sylvester McCoy as he was leaving the convention. It was quite an unexpected and melancholy moment. It was powerful to see him just walking away and knowing that that was the last time I'd see him on this trip. I then responded to that with some retail therapy because, my goodness, there were so many Doctor Who DVDs at this one stall! Whilst I was in line for a photo with Matthew Waterhouse, Elijah Kraling came up and said hello, which was amazing! Thank you for coming up and taking a picture with me. It was so lovely to meet you. Alright, now we came to the end of London Comic Con Winter 2023. It's been amazing. I met so many people, got so many photos, bought too much merchandise, but there's no such thing really? And I met a lot of awesome people, including Whovian Espresso! It has been really so fun hanging out with you and getting to meet you. And, yeah, it's been a really great event. And so it's wrapping up now. Everybody's packing up. I feel like I'm staying to the last possible moment so that this won't end and this will go on forever. It was really fun! I then said goodbye to Aidan! I'll see you around on the interwebs next! It was amazing to meet you. You were so nice and lovely to meet in person. It was great to hang out and explore the conventions together. Now I'm headed back to my hotel. I plan to pick up some dinner on the way. What I didn't realize was that I was headed straight for a taste of some British weather. I was going to get caught in the rain on my way home! Tune in next time to see what happens!
